Job Summary: • The SCC Package Manager is responsible for the overall planning, co-ordination and control of the Station Common Components (SCC) Systems, coordinating and managing team, including supply chain. • The HRS-20,21,22 & Train dispatch will be procured and managed by HS2, However these will need to be integrated into the station which will form part of the SCC Package Manager job role. • The SCC Package Manager provides leadership to the team and support the MEP Lead to create and develop the culture and behaviours to meet the HS2 Construction Partner Objectives in collaboration with all parties. • The SCC Package Manager is responsible for the effective leadership of multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors maintaining an uncompromising commitment to safety and a collaborative approach to meet the design and construction programme; the incentive target; achieve exemplary quality and sustainability standards; ensuring the correct resourcing and incentivisation. • The SCC Package Manager shall ensure co-ordination of all the commissioning with all necessary MDJV package managers. • The SCC Package Manager shall be the main point of contact for all SCC items. • The SCC Package Manager shall be involved with the procurement of the SCC and a knowledge of NEC3 contracts is essential. • The SCC Package Manager shall manage the SCC from procurement to handover and is responsible for the effective leadership to ensure that any necessary testing and commissioning or system integration, maintaining an uncompromising commitment to safety and a collaborative approach to meet the design and construction programme; achieve exemplary quality and sustainability standards; ensuring the correct resourcing. • The SCC Package Manager will be involved with managing the programmes ensuring that works are carried out to the correct time scales. Key Responsibilities: • Responsible for outlining the progress of the works, actual cost, forecast and highlighting any problems and issues for resolution. • Chair and attend progress meetings with Client. • Responsible for the co-ordination between the construction, design, procurement and commercial departments to ensure the SCC sub-contracts are awarded and work started in accordance with the schedule of works. • Promote and deliver a collaborative environment throughout all members of the team including stakeholders and the supply chain. Establish and maintain site organisation and facilitate effective communications between the Employer’s representatives • Receipt of instruction from the client Construction Manager. Ensure a clear understanding of levels of authority to receive instructions by the client Construction Manager or Supervisor and receipt of other contractual communication within the team and supply chain. • To ensure performance management process and ensure the appropriate training is planned and delivered. Specific Safety Responsibilities: • Comply with the requirements of Mace DragadosHS&W Management Plan and co-operate with the efforts to prevent accidents and ill health. • Ensure that the information required to collate CDM Health and Safety file is included in the CDM register. • Carry out investigations with appropriate personnel into accidents or incidents that occur on site and report findings and recommendations to the Project Director. A lower educational level, typically HNC or HND may be acceptable where a very significant level of experience can be demonstrated. • Membership of an appropriate Professional body. • Experience as MEP Project Manager for on a significant engineering rail infrastructure construction project. • Demonstrate significant experience of complex station/transport interchange infrastructure build and employment in management roles on projects of similar scope and scale, within the construction industry. • Proven track record of delivering projects to time and budget, together with an exemplary safety, quality and sustainability record. • Previous experience of operating for major infrastructure clients typically, TfL, Network Rail and other UK or International organisations. • Have demonstrable experience of leadership, building and motivating teams. • Demonstratable experience and knowledge of NEC3 contracts including management. • Demonstrate excellent computer skills, presentation, negotiation skills organisational skills, ability to plan and manage own time. • SMSTS qualification. • CSCS Card Full job description available on Dragados careers page.
