To perform with training a range of basic, but non-routine sleep investigations, contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of sleep apnoea patients. This will include the initiation and downloading data from sleep studies devices. Issuing and explaining the connection of sleep studies to patients. To be responsible for the accurate entry of patient records and reports on to the department database. Arranging replacement consumables for CPAP patients. Performing weekly stock checks for CPAP and sleep consumables. To support the sleep physiologist onleading the overnight polysomnography tests which includes hook up and monitoring of the patient. This test is performed in hospital overnight and therefore night shifts are required for this post. To understand and assist with department audit, technical evaluation and research projects as required. To assist the senior staff with the implementation of new policies and procedures as required. To assist the senior staff with monitoring and ordering of departmental supplies. To assist in the achievement of quality projects. To participate in individual performance review. To complete mandatory training.
