The key focus on the role will be extracting and analysing data to aid in effective stock forecasting, stock control, product trends, and profitability analysis. There will also be several exciting future projects for this person to assist the leadership team with. Excellent proficiency with Excel and data visualisation tools such as Power BI is key, alongside relevant practical experience of commercial data analysis. Role Overview: Develop and maintain stock forecasting models to optimize inventory levels across an ever-growing inventory. Analyse historical sales data and stock levels, identify seasonal trends, and adapt quickly to changes in market demand - to improve forecast accuracy. Continuously monitor inventory performance, identifying risks such as overstocks and stockouts, and recommend corrective actions. It’s important we learn from previous out of stock events, to ensure these do not repeat - allowing sales to grow and products to develop. Utilize data visualization tools to present insights and trends to key stakeholders. Implement and improve forecasting algorithms using advanced analytical techniques, including machine learning where applicable.
