Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast-growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.
The Role:
The role will be involved in the development of an effective and efficient layout based on the equipment specification. The industrial engineer shall support the development of a layout for power system assembly considering the internal requirements.
The recommended layout shall be supported by plant/process simulation analysis to identify bottlenecks and constraints of the process, and to provide evidence of the effectiveness of the proposed solution.

Engineering, Research and Development (ER&D) is a growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on projects and programmes for our clients. The Lead Engineer will take ownership of a given commodity through the full product development lifecycle.
Area of Responsibility:
·Writing operation codes in Siemens - Plant Simulation software, using inputs such as cycle time, Layout & Process etc
·Line balancing & manpower allocation with MTM analysis
·Creating process documents and work instructions
·Discrete Event and In-Plant Logistics Simulation
·Layout & Process validation (Plant and Shop)
·Cycle time analysis, creation, validation & optimization
·Analysis and Optimization of Plant and Facility Logistics
·Facility layout study and Bottleneck Analysis for the system capacity
·Design DOE and facilitate alternative generation for the gaps observed in the System Capacity from the target
Knowledge / Experience:
·Good experience working in Automotive OEM, Engineering Service Industry or Battery Manufacturing Industry
·Experience in Writing operation codes using inputs such as cycle time, Layout & Process etc.
·Experience in Siemens - Plant Simulation software for writing operation & codes
·MOST analysis to perform Manpower calculation.
·Line balancing with MTM analysis
·Experience of European OEMs / USA OEMs is an advantage
·Worked in Plant environment for validation & optimization
·Battery manufacturing or Assembly experience will be an added advantage.
·Should be proficient in tools like Siemens Process Simulate, Plant Simulation
·Have background of applying TOC theories and statistics.
