Location: Bristol (Hybrid 3 days in the office 2 home – flexible)

Role summary:
As the Product Governance and Customer Outcomes Manager you will establish, oversee and manage frameworks that ensure my clients products are designed, distributed and maintained in alignment with customer needs, regulatory requirements and ethical standards. You will manage key stakeholder relationships and influence the development of our products to ensure they are guided by robust product governance and conduct risk considerations. You will be involved in:
Strategic development stakeholder management:
* Support the Head of Product Development in devising a strategy and roadmap that brings all products within the scope of the product governance framework.
* Manage key stakeholders to coordinate and analyse their input into product strategy, ensuring that their insights are effectively integrated into product development.
* Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and engagement, facilitating open discussions to uncover customer value considerations.
* Build rapport and trust with key stakeholders to foster a positive culture towards product governance and conduct risk.
* Own the comprehensive product Fair Value Assessment framework, ensuring that every product undergoes a periodic review process in line with FCA requirements.
Product governance and fair value assessments:
* Chair the monthly Product Review Group sessions to assess whether our products continue to provide fair value to our customers.
* Lead discussions with key stakeholders to gather quantitative and qualitative product data to be clearly documented for each Fair Value Assessment.
* Develop a strategy in collaboration with stakeholders to capture and document feedback from distributors, customers, and other relevant third parties. Incorporate this feedback into Fair Value Assessments to inform decisions on meaningful product changes and improvements – and more.
Personal Profile
My client is looking for someone with strong regulatory awareness, in particular, working knowledge of: Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD), FCA PROD 4 rules and Consumer Duty Rules. You will have experience in a related regulatory role within financial services, such as product governance or compliance.
You will have experience in managing product reviews and audits, and with this strong process management skills, disciplined in documenting required sign-off and key decisions made as part of the product assessment process. Being data driven, with the ability to critically analyse core product MI metrics and identify any anomalies that require further investigation is critical to this role.
