We’re looking for a committed and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic primary school in Blackburn (BB2), working full-time in a Year 2 class. This is a varied and rewarding role supporting pupils both in small groups and 1:1, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Role Highlights: Support the Year 2 class teacher in delivering engaging lessons Work with small groups of children to reinforce learning Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEN, tailoring your approach to their individual needs Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment Collaborate with teaching staff and the SENCO to monitor progress and adapt support strategies We’re Looking For: Experience working with children in a primary school, ideally in KS1 An understanding of SEN and a caring, patient approach Confidence in leading small group sessions and supporting learning objectives A proactive team player with excellent communication skills Someone with a real passion for helping children thrive both academically and emotionally About the School: Located in the heart of Blackburn (BB2), this welcoming and inclusive school is committed to supporting every child to reach their full potential.
