You will carry out Identification and delivery of collaborative buying opportunities. As Senior Supply Chain Business Partner you will also be responsible for the management and development of a defined team of Supply Chain Professionals. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT Essential: Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply or equivalent Professional qualification. Significant Procurement, Supply Chain and Contract Management experience. Experience of conducting major Contract negotiations. Experience of managing and leading Supply Chain professionals. Experience of conducting major and complex Procurements, including Procurement best practice. Proven track record of delivering optimum results, including savings delivery in a multi-faceted Supply Chain operation together with a comprehensive knowledge of Supply Chain governance. Working knowledge of the Supply Chain and Procurement and Contracting processes including Legislation. Desirable: Degree and/or relevant qualification. Experience of both Public and Private sector Procurement. Awareness of new technological advances in Supply Chain. JOB DESCRIPTION Management of department processes should be in line with company expectations and ensuring consultation is completed with relevant process reviewers when adding, amending, deleting, and reviewing owned processes. Formulate, negotiate, and manage a defined range of market areas to secure the best terms and conditions, and financial outcome for the Company. Responsibility for the delivery of contracts including procurement strategies, supplier appraisal, tender preparation, tender assessment, negotiation, recommendation, contract award and variation management. Maintain market knowledge of areas of expenditure and assist in developing Supply Chain strategies that will underpin Company objectives. Lead and manage the Supplier Relationship Management Programme to deliver effective contract management across the Corporate Services supply chain to ensure continuity of supply of goods and services, including initiatives identification to support delivery of savings. Develop and implement Supply Chain Strategies, deliverables and agreed targets for a defined range of market areas and ensure risks are understood, managed and mitigation plans created. Provide regular and pro-active engagement and support to internal and external stakeholders, to enable best practice to be achieved through delivery of commercially viable contracts that are compliant to all relevant Legislation. Support the continuous development of the Company Purchasing System. Review transactional activity and deliver Procurement Strategies to address non-value add activities. Ensure all goods and services procured meet the Company’s requirements of suitability for purpose, quality, safety and price, and continually monitor and assess Corporate Services Suppliers to ensure they are providing service in accordance with their contractual obligations. Drive Procurement Strategies that achieve savings targets, performance improvement and supplier rationalisation. Responsible for reviewing all relevant Legislation, rules, processes and procedures and recommend enhancements to deliver continuous improvement, while ensuring compliance. Manage and develop a suite of KPIs and management reporting specific to your area of responsibility. Lead, motivate, develop and manage a team of Supply Chain professionals, including responsibility for objective setting, one to ones, coaching and mentoring and knowledge transfer.
