International Business Development Manager
An interesting time to join a PE backed Manufacturing business based in the North West with exciting growth plans. A newly created opportunity has arisen for an International Business Development Manager, who will be responsible for driving sales and expanding market presence in a niche machinery market. You will identify new business opportunities, develop strategic relationships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve revenue targets. The role requires international travel on a regular basis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the capital equipment and machinery market.
2. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve growth targets and expand market share.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and industry partners.
4. Conduct market research to understand trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
5. Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to tailor solutions to client requirements.
6. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients.
7. Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve sales objectives.
8. Monitor and report on sales performance, market conditions, and competitive activities.
9. Attend industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events to promote company offerings and gather market intelligence.
10. Provide feedback to management on market trends, customer preferences, and potential product improvements.
11. Manage agents and commission-based field sales representatives to meet agreed targets.
You must have previous experience driving sales for Capital Goods, Heavy Machinery, or Waste Management. You will need a strong understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management. You must have excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. You must have the willingness to travel internationally as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
