OBJECTIVES
The Stores Person will attend to the Stores (goods In/Out) functions on a day to day basis and work alongside the other members of the Material Handling team to assess, prioritise and process the workload across Stores and Dispatch. The Stores Person will be required to accurately and efficiently carry out receiving, controlling, picking and preparing materials for all stakeholders. Striving to maintain accurate stock records throughout, carrying out daily and routine Inventory Counting and working in a safe manner at all times.
DUTIES
• Understanding and carrying out the Stores function on a day to day basis.
• Safe and accurate storage and control of all products, parts and materials in Main Stores
• Stock management in the Stores warehouses.
• Complete regular perpetual Inventory counts on all stores items.
• Use the ‘ERP Material Queue’ to fulfil any requirements from stock.
• Chasing and following up all shortages, by any appropriate means
• On Time picking (kitting) of jobs in accordance with Planning.
• Picking and transacting consumable and Line-Side materials
• Picking and transacting kit shortages and ad hoc requirements
• Receiving goods from suppliers including checking;
o Accurate quantities
o Correct items and revisions to those ordered and corresponding paperwork
o Electronic archiving of delivery paperwork
o Identifying product at ‘tracking lot’ level with internal labels
• Maintain high standards to support and contribute to the manufacturing process in such a manner that safe, efficient and effective..
• Learn and interact with the company enterprise resources planning tools (Epicor) to be able to resolve issues and exceptions that occur from time to time.
• Picking and issuing orders for system test and prepare for goods out inspection.
• Packaging of outbound orders whilst working in conjunction with shipping department.
• Provide holiday and shift cover for other members of Material Handling team where required

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
• Full UK Driving Licence essential
• Experience in a Stores / Despatch environment essential
• Experience in a Manufacturing Environment essential
• Experience using MRP/ERP systems Epicor an advantage.
Desirable:
• A good understanding of stores environment ideally from within the manufacturing/engineering/electronics sector
• Experience of working within an SME production / manufacturing environment
• Material handling qualifications, fork lift licence, van driving experience, first aid qualifications
• Experience working with electronics desirable
• Experience working in an ESD environment desirable
• Experience in QA / Quality procedures desirable
• Fork Lift Licence desirable
