Role Overview: Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00am–4:30pm (to be worked flexibly) £14.50-£16.44 per hour depending on experience Role Overview Reporting to the Projects Manager, the Projects Joiner will deliver project works locally and regionally as part of a small team over a planned schedule of works. The Projects Joiner will also complete specialist services as part of the FM Projects team including fire door inspections and remedial works. The Projects Joiner will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the team with a proactive solution driven mindset. Key Responsibilities Completing joinery biased project works in line with the programme of works Conducting all work efficiently and to the highest quality Always working in a safe and legally compliant manner Following training the completion of fire door inspections and remedial works Involvement in compiling information for quotations Liaising with external contractors as and when appropriate Providing cover to the Maintenance Team as required Acting as a main key holder to Sewell properties Requirements As well as exhibiting the Sewell Behaviours of being Positive, Professional, Team and Customer Focused, with a mentality of Doing the Right Thing, the successful person will have the following: Essential: A satisfactory Enhanced DBS (criminal background) check Full Driving License, valid in the UK Be computer literate (Microsoft Office) Have a proactive attitude towards maintaining buildings at a world class quality level Hold excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders Possess good organisational skills with the ability to meet targets Ability to liaise with external subcontractors when necessary Possess a positive approach to learning, development and progression Hold a joinery trade qualification or substantial joinery experience Have previous experience working in a maintenance or construction environment Have a flexible outlook towards hours worked (out of hours working may be required) Have working knowledge of current Health and Safety practices Desirable: Be First Aid at Work trained Hold IOSH Working Safely Hold Fire Door Inspectors Diploma (FDIS) Have Asbestos Awareness Be PASMA trained Hold IPAF 1b, 3a & 3b Have an understanding of Pro Level Risk Assessment tool Benefits £14.50-£16.44 per hour dependent on experience Annual Bonus opportunity 22 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays), rising with length of service to 25 days Being a Co-Owner of Sewell Estates, learn more here: Employee Ownership - Sewell Group (sewell-group.co.uk) Auto Enrolment pension Staff discounts High Street & Retail discount schemes Bike 2 Work Scheme Technology Scheme Paid Parental Leave and Sickness Absence schemes
