Critical Engineering Supervisor – East London
Location: East London
Salary: £55,000
Hours: Days Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM
An exciting opportunity to work for an established FM Service Provider situated in London. PRS are currently recruiting for a Critical Engineering Supervisor to work on a unique site located in Canary Wharf. The successful candidate will be electrically qualified with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance and ideally hold previous supervisory experience. He or she will effectively manage the day-to-day operation of the maintenance teams to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the site’s Mechanical and Electrical services, and liaise with clients on a day-to-day basis to ensure the client is aware of all activities happening on site. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of £55,000, overtime, further training, and career progression.
Duties:
1. Support Helpdesk with allocating calls to the correct engineers for your sites – escalation as and when required.
2. Ensure availability of resources for designated contracts.
3. Make and document any PPM changes/variations – Change Control Process, CAFM.
4. Review Engineering Job Sheets in a timely manner for accuracy, legibility, procurement (materials and quotations), and problem solving.
5. Supervise material budget per contract.
6. Complete PPM and Reactive Maintenance duties when required.
7. Review assets in a timely manner ensuring Planning accuracy.
8. Be available for out of hours call-out support for designated contracts.
9. Be able to cover sites during absence as directed by Contract Manager.
10. Ensure all contracts under designated control are statutory compliant.
11. Ensure toolbox talks are carried out to the ICMS procedures.
12. Ensure all engineers are following risk assessments for all works.
Requirements:
1. City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 Electrical installation or recognised equivalent.
2. 17th or 18th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) Registration or recognised equivalent or approved apprenticeship or appropriate experience within Building Services.
3. Health & Safety Training.
4. Previous Supervisory experience.
