Facilities Officer
Location: Tunbridge Wells
Role Summary:
To assist in the management of buildings, services, and processes that support our core business. To help ensure that the organisation has the best working environment for its employees and that it remains a legally compliant employer.
Salary: £24,400 to £25,400
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Role Specific Responsibilities:
1. Deputise for the Facilities and Health & Safety Manager in their absence.
2. Carry out administrative duties such as managing incoming office post, facilitating deliveries, creating Purchase Orders, arranging meetings, collections, and issuing equipment to staff.
3. Travel to TCH working hubs to assist with ongoing Facilities/H&S queries and tasks.
4. Proactively assist in the delivery of a comprehensive office support service including cleaning, supply of equipment, consumables and PPE, post management, building access and security, document archiving, waste management, and recycling.
5. Work closely with suppliers, partners, colleagues, senior management, and internal customers to resolve complex issues quickly and to a high standard.
6. Manage the facilities Help Desk system with the Facilities and Health & Safety Manager, adhering to published SLAs.
7. Ensure offices are well maintained.
8. Assist in ensuring health and safety policies and procedures remain current and fit for purpose, undertaking accident and incident monitoring and reporting.
9. Assist with the upkeep of the Business Continuity Plan and associated training.
10. Assist in managing first aiders and fire wardens, ensuring first aid kits are fully stocked and compliant.
Education & Qualifications:
1. GCSE level education including Maths and English - Essential
2. Qualification in facilities management or a related discipline - Desirable
Knowledge & Experience:
1. Computer literate with Microsoft Office experience - Essential
2. Office administration/manager experience - Desirable
3. Experience in a customer-facing role - Desirable
