Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our Pension Systems Department (PSD). This role bridges our UK outsourcing business and the globally distributed IT platforms, providing expertise in business analysis, technology consulting, and project management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support client configuration, maintain our portfolio, and improve the administration of defined benefit, defined contribution, and hybrid pension schemes for the UK market.
How you'll make an impact
Business Analysis
1. Lead the analysis of complex business processes, workflows, and systems, identifying areas for improvement.
2. Conduct requirements elicitation through interviews, workshops, and other methods, documenting business needs and preparing business cases.
3. Collaborate across teams to design and implement scalable solutions that meet business goals.
4. Independently assess client needs, advocate for innovative solutions, and review requirements prepared by other analysts.
Technical Consulting
1. Work with Gallagher's Head of Product and technology teams to ensure alignment with technology guidelines.
2. Understand third-party pension administration requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
3. Act as a communication link between business teams and IT, ensuring solutions meet the needs of UK outsourcing.
Project Management
1. Oversee and manage projects across the UK outsourcing portfolio, coordinating globally distributed teams to meet business requirements.
2. Develop and execute project plans, assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor performance.
3. Occasionally lead project and delivery teams, ensuring timely project completion and stakeholder satisfaction.
4. Conduct user acceptance testing, support new technology implementations, and lead stakeholder workshops and training sessions.
About You
1. 5+ years of recent experience as a Business Analyst, with strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices.
2. Proven experience managing software development projects and leading cross-functional teams.
3. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a proactive, self-motivated approach.
4. Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams and stakeholders.
5. Advanced proficiency in documenting business requirements, preparing business cases, and presenting findings.
6. Exceptional organisational and project management skills, with a focus on quality, timeliness, and continuous improvement.
7. Experience in UK pensions administration and third-party pension administration businesses.
1. Knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Office Suite (Visio, Excel), and Agile methodologies.
2. Technical expertise in web application security, data transfer protocols, and web and Windows services.
3. Familiarity with business process modelling, enterprise architecture, and cloud solutions.
