Control Centre Operator Grade 4, £25,584 to £28,624 per annum pro rata plus standby and rotating shift allowance 28 hours per week flexible rota covering shifts over a 24-hour period, permanent contract Building on over 40 years of delivering Control Centre services to the community, we are currently looking to recruit a Control Centre Operator to join our team. Working in the Older Persons Service, the successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our customers. You will work 28 hours a week covering shifts over a 24-hour period, managing calls from our sheltered and supported housing schemes, lifeline, and telecare customers. In addition, the Control Centre provides council out-of-hours services, responding to a range of service requests including housing repairs, homelessness and environmental health. The role includes: Responding to calls and liaising with relevant services or family members of residents Administrative duties and record maintenance, including computer use Using and testing equipment and reporting faults Providing an out-of-hour emergency contact service Supporting residents, including vulnerable members of the community, in a calm and patient manner Candidates will need to demonstrate a wide range of skills but most importantly excellent communication skills and initiative.
