You'll manage the day-to-day operations of the Specialist Site Services team, including the communications technical team, stock control and cross-hire product partners. A large part of this will involve receiving, processing and disseminating workflows. This will arrive through communications from both internal and external customers / stakeholders, and will require transferring to our workflow system G42. The role will require considerable engagement with all parts of the Communications and wider business, including our sales functions, so the suitable person will need to be a good verbal and written communicator, preferably with similar experience in a multi depot / workshop environment. Key Responsibilities Be the first point of contact, for all requests for equipment and support required from the Communications team. Triage this information, and disperse as tasks to the wider Communications business and product partners. Control workshop and individual engineer daily activity, through allocation of in-house preparation and onsite works. Working closely with the Communication Manger for technical support Monitor, amend and chase completion of work allocated, including discussion where appropriate with internal and sometimes external customers to keep them updated of progress. Compile a training matrix for all engineers within the Communications business, and ensure that training is up to date, and engineers are on a clear pathway to improvement. Work with our procurement team, with guidance from the Communications Management Team to ensure correct levels of sales stock, spare parts and consumables are present within the workshops. Liaise with third party service providers, to ensure timely and cost effective repairs, of both ESS hire fleet and customer owned assets. With assistance from the Product Manager and our Communications Engineers, ensure all internal compliance procedures on G42 are up to date (TIG’s / OSG’s, etc.), and that these are updated as required. When considered necessary or appropriate by the company you may be required to carry out any duties considered within your skill and competence to assist the smooth running of the business. What We're Looking For Experienced first line supervisor or junior manager ready for the next challenge. Effective communicator, both written and verbal. Knowledge of, or experience in, the hire trade, preferably within a multi branch business. Basic understanding of radio communications. Understanding of our core industries, construction, events, rail, manufacturing.
