Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fundamental Equity Analyst to support a Delta One team and work with one of our lead PMs across these strategies. In this role, you will conduct rigorous research and provide actionable insights to drive investment decisions. This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in global markets, analyse diverse sectors, and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional performance for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Financial Modelling:
Build and maintain detailed company financial models to analyse and forecast key metrics, including revenue growth, profitability, and cash flow trends. Use these models to support valuation analysis and scenario testing.
* In-Depth Company Analysis:
Perform thorough fundamental analysis of companies across multiple sectors by leveraging public filings, earnings calls, and industry data. Develop a comprehensive understanding of business models, competitive landscapes, and management strategies.
* Investment Thesis Development:
Research and refine investment theses, identifying compelling opportunities by synthesizing financial data, market trends, and qualitative insights.
* Trade Idea Generation:
Pitch well-supported trade ideas to the Portfolio Manager, grounded in robust data, scenario analysis, and valuation metrics. Clearly articulate the risks and rewards of each idea to aid decision-making.
* Market and Sector Monitoring:
Stay abreast of macroeconomic trends, sector dynamics, and key performance indicators to inform and adjust investment strategies proactively.
* Timely Insights:
Monitor market-moving news, earnings releases, and economic updates, providing timely insights and actionable recommendations to optimize portfolio performance.
* Bachelor's Degree or higher, preferably in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Maths, Engineering (or similar)
* 2–5 years of experience at a tier 1 investment bank or in a similar analyst role at a competing fund
* Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, and equity markets.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail.
* Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and tools such as Excel, Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar platforms.
* Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into actionable investment insights.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
* Self-motivated, curious, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
