We are working with our client on their search for a VLoans Middle Office, Client Manager VP level to join their team on a permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will manage the Loan Middle Office Client Manager team. They will act as an SME for the Loans portfolio handled as Agent and Lender, ensuring that facilities under the control and management of LMO are maintained accurately within the systems and controls available. The candidate will also need to ensure all facilities can be serviced and all drawings have been processed in a timely manner in accordance with company policies (credit approvals, legal framework, current regulatory and compliance requirements) and procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for maintaining up-to-date and accurate procedure manuals, which reflect the real day-to-day operations and market practices. The manuals are to be inclusive of changes resulting from industry or legislative developments and preventative measures.
2. Responsible for the facilitation of well-structured training and adequate supervision to ensure staff are well informed with the necessary tools and oversight to perform their roles to the standards expected by the Bank.
3. Daily monitoring of the triggers throughout the loan lifecycle via the system/diary notes to ensure the loan is serviced accordingly.
4. Support the Front Offices on new products and servicing of the deal.
5. Coordinate across Operations to ensure the deal is processed in a timely manner.
6. Act as escalation for the direct team and the wider LMO team.
7. Utilising expert knowledge of the product and market to manage the syndicated Loan facilities portfolio assigned to the successful candidate. Provide expert guidance and direction to less experienced LMO staff to assist with the completion of their duties and responsibilities covering all lifecycle events from correct systematic capture of the facility at Financial close to ongoing event management and servicing of the transaction post-close.
8. Verify and validate transactions created by other LMO staff to ensure precise and correct instructions are delivered to the appropriate processing areas for accurate, error-free execution.
9. Oversee the creation or provide direction and guidance in the creation of control tools necessary to administer client facilities where the Bank's systems are considered inappropriate, ensuring all transactions processed remain within the approved parameters and agreement of the facility.
10. Continually review and challenge processes and procedures to maximise efficiency and processes that allow the highest possible facility usage to maximise revenue streams, satisfying client and stakeholder requirements.
11. Ensure the creation and flow of information is accurate and timely to enable Management and stakeholders to act appropriately.
12. Work with the Head of LMO to achieve the short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals of the team.
13. Chair monthly service meetings with each FO sector reviewing pipeline, volumes, capacity, and prioritisation queues.
14. Work autonomously to resolve operational issues as they arise and provide, where necessary, the implementation of preventative measures to avoid reoccurrence of incidents.
15. Operate as a product specialist providing subject matter expertise where required.
16. Remain abreast of market developments in relation to the product stream and be instrumental in Change Management when required.
Skills and Experience:
1. Considerable operational experience of loan products.
2. Operational and administrative knowledge of the loan market.
3. Experience in reviewing loan agreements.
4. Bi-lingual proficiency in up-to-date standard practices relative to the products administered within the Loans markets.
5. Proficient in the standard Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel).
