Oracle Engineer
Location: Cardiff
Working Model: Hybrid / Flexible Working
Salary: Up to £55,000 depending on experience + up to 20% annual bonus
About Us:
Founded in 2018, LDMS is part of the LC Financial Holdings group, a 4-pillar organization with over 2,000 employees across Europe. We have a strong track record of providing world-class credit expertise that spans over 20 years.
We are a Fintech company focused on digital lending software, a market growing around 18% per year and set to be worth $27 billion by 2028. Our goal is to lead in this space, and we need a team that can write quality code and innovate to provide the best solutions for our customers.
The Role:
At LDMS, teamwork is essential. We work in small agile teams, focusing on the frequent delivery of valued features and improvements for our customers and stakeholders. Requirements for these features typically originate from business functions to support changes to existing account portfolios or from migration projects for onboarding new external clients. We also address issues raised by our Service Delivery team.
As an Oracle Engineer, you will collaborate with multifunctional teams to develop, deliver, and support bespoke financial systems for high-profile clients across EMEA. You are expected to uphold engineering best practices and quality.
We integrate modern, proven technology and leverage automation to deliver great products without unexpected surprises. We embrace the DevOps paradigm by engineering, designing, building, testing, releasing, and providing ongoing support for our code, ensuring end-to-end ownership and seamless collaboration across all stages of the development lifecycle.
This role requires an Oracle Engineer with demonstrable experience and proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL. You should be able to create and tune complex SQL statements and analyze and model data structures.
You will support the refinement and clarification of user stories and make well-reasoned design decisions. When tasks are large, you can scope them down into smaller, actionable parts, allowing the team to accurately manage and estimate work and deliver complex features.
You should adapt well to shifting priorities, supporting your peers through pairing, code review, cross-functional collaboration, and providing mentoring/coaching as appropriate.
While we value specific skills, we also recognize that backgrounds may not perfectly overlap with what's listed below.
