The Role:
Join a long-term project for a leading insurance client as a Business Architecture within a dedicated Change & Transformation initiative. You’ll drive data-focused projects, support strategic transformation efforts, and collaborate across business and IT teams to deliver critical analytics and insights, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
* This is a hybrid role - London or Manchester
* Target start date: February 2025
Responsibilities:
* Translate business strategy into actionable initiatives, projects, and a well-defined project portfolio, ensuring alignment and strategic objectives across all regions.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Operations Delivery, Central Data Office, IT Business Solutions, and other stakeholders to drive transformation initiatives and achieve tangible business outcomes.
* Support the expansion of international markets, facilitating the launch of new Business Units, Underwriting Products, and the establishment of supporting infrastructure.
* Lead the alignment of business architecture with transformation initiatives, ensuring seamless integration across IT, engineering, and change management disciplines.
* Map and optimize business models, processes, stakeholders, and regulations, ensuring adherence to corporate governance, operational efficiency, and scalable infrastructure while supporting existing and new business operations.
* Develop and communicate business architecture guidelines, standards, and best practices across the organization, aligned with BIZBOK tools, enterprise architecture frameworks, and global business transformation standards.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
* 5-7+ years of experience in business architecture, strategic planning, or transformation roles, ideally within insurance, or transformation projects.
* Proven expertise in translating business strategies into actionable projects, portfolios, and initiatives with measurable business outcomes.
* Strong understanding of insurance operations, policy lifecycles, underwriting processes, and client management workflows across multiple markets.
* Proficiency in enterprise architecture tools, BIZBOK methodologies, and business transformation frameworks.
* Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and change management frameworks.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams across Business Sponsors, Subject Matter Experts, IT, and Operations.
* Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, ensuring effective process mapping, organizational planning, and business optimization.
* Proficiency with tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Capability Models, Information Architecture frameworks, and enterprise planning tools.
