Job Overview
As a Solutions Engineer, you will partner with the Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to support the full technical sales cycle — from discovery and solution design through to proof of concept and onboarding. You’ll work closely with prospective clients to understand their infrastructure, compliance, and integration requirements and tailor our solutions to solve real-world business challenges in complex enterprise environments and drive the adoption of the Ownera Router and FinP2P protocol.
This role requires a combination of technical expertise and commercial acumen covering both traditional financial markets and the digital assets ecosystem. It involves direct engagement with financial institutions, fintechs, asset managers, and digital assets firms. You will play a crucial role in explaining the technical capabilities of our product, demonstrating product value, and ensuring successful implementation for clients.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Solution Engineering:
* Serve as the technical lead in the sales process for enterprise financial services clients, providing deep product knowledge and solution design tailored to client use cases.
* Lead discovery sessions with clients to understand technical, operational, and regulatory requirements and how Ownera’s technology can integrate with their systems.
* Create and deliver high-impact product demonstrations, presentations, and Proof of Concept (PoC) environments.
* Translate business needs into technical solutions, including API integrations, data workflows, security configurations, and deployment models.
* Collaborate with Product and Engineering to scope custom solutions or influence product roadmap priorities based on client feedback.
* Respond to technical sections of RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO27001, SOC 2, GDPR).
* Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, bridging the gap between commercial goals and technical feasibility.
* Stay current on financial services industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies relevant to enterprise SaaS infrastructure.
Customer Success & Implementation:
* Support clients through the onboarding process, ensuring smooth integration with the Ownera Router and FinP2P protocol.
* Address technical challenges and liaise with internal teams to resolve any issues efficiently.
* Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance client understanding and adoption.
Qualifications & Experience
Technical Background:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of blockchain technology, digital assets, and tokenization.
* Experience with financial infrastructure, APIs, and legacy systems integration.
* Beneficial to have experience with scripting (Python, Bash), knowledge of Kubernetes/Docker, or experience working with financial data platforms.
Sales & Business Development Experience:
* 3–6 years of experience in a client-facing technical role (e.g. Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales Consultant, Technical Account Manager), ideally within a financial technology company providing SaaS solutions to large regulated financial institutions.
* Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure (cloud platforms, APIs, security protocols, SSO, data integration).
* Experience working with or selling into financial institutions such as banks, asset managers, or exchanges.
* Proven experience supporting long sales cycles and navigating enterprise procurement processes.
* Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, MiFID II, GDPR, or cloud governance in regulated industries.
Skills & Competencies:
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
* Comfortable with hands-on work such as API integrations, blockchain connectivity, and data mapping.
