Petroc is a highly successful institution, delivering education and skills training in Devon and beyond and has an exciting opportunity for a full-time role as a Lecturer for Motor Vehicles.
The main function of this role is to work collaboratively both within the department of Motor Vehicles and with internal and external stakeholders on the delivery and development of high-quality curriculum programmes. The role will also involve creating, assessing and supporting learners in the area to complete the workplace component of their programme.
The successful candidate will have significant demonstrable experience in the related subject, including electric vehicles, along with a relevant teaching qualification or a willingness to work towards one.

Petroc is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. All positions are subject to the completion of checks, including an Enhanced DBS clearance. We are permitted to ask whether an applicant has any convictions, cautions or reprimands or final warnings (spent or otherwise) which would not be filtered in line with current guidance as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (exceptions) Order 1975 (2013 and 2020).
In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidelines, an online search will also be carried out for short-listed candidates prior to interview. This is to identify any incidents or issues that are publicly available online, which the College may explore with applicants at interview. This is a safeguarding check to assess if the individual is suitable to work with young and/or vulnerable learners.
