Stamford School is seeking to appoint an outstanding Hockey & games coach to support our hockey programme (Year 3 - 13).
The successful candidate will coach hockey to all age groups and will be expected to contribute to other major sports. The role entails assisting the Director of hockey in delivering the busy and successful hockey programme through the provision of coaching, training and fixtures across the school week including Saturdays.
The Physical Education & Sports Department at Stamford School comprises of a team of 15 full time specialist teachers alongside a further seven full time sport specific specialist coaches and a number of external coaches.
Facilities within SES are first class, with extensive playing fields with 8 rugby pitches (one floodlit), 2 grass cricket squares and 5 Astro strips, superb sports centre with 25m swimming pool (a second pool at the Junior School), as well as onsite physio provision, 3 floodlit hockey astros, 4 squash courts, 2 sports halls, gymnasium, 2 fitness suites, dance studio, spin studio, 16 floodlit hard tennis courts and 10 floodlit netball courts.
This is a term-time only position, that attracts an annual salary of £31,445 per annum (actual for term-time only).
Desired Criteria
* FIH level 3.
* Played or coached in the performance level of the game.
* A good track record of successfully managing teams of staff & students.
Essential Criteria
* EH Sessional coach of worldwide equivalent.
* Experience of teaching and coaching in both participation & performance.
* Be an approachable team with an ability to inspire others to work collaboratively.
* High level communication skills with excellent time management.
* A proven track record in engaging and motivating young players.
* Sets and maintains high standards in all aspects of the role and personal presentation.
