As a People & Culture Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in delivering a seamless and efficient experience for employees across the business. You’ll be responsible for HR administration, onboarding, payroll coordination, and benefits administration – ensuring our People team runs smoothly. From efficiently using HR systems and ensuring compliance to improving processes and handling employee queries, this role is perfect for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a people-first approach.

Objectives & Responsibilities:
Beam is an exciting and dynamic environment, meaning responsibilities will evolve as we grow. Upon joining, your objectives and responsibilities will include:
First 90 Days:
* Learn Beam’s HR systems, processes, and policies.
* Manage the People Team inbox, responding to employee queries and ensuring a smooth HR support function.
* Maintain accurate employee records and assist with payroll processing.
* Support the onboarding process, ensuring new starters have everything they need from day one.
In the First 6 Months:
* Own HR administration, ensuring all employee records and contracts are up to date.
* Assist with benefits and pensions administration, ensuring compliance and accurate records.
* Identify and suggest process improvements within HR workflows.
* Track and coordinate training and development activities, ensuring employees have access to learning opportunities.
In the First Year and Beyond:
* Support People & Culture initiatives, including employee engagement, Equity Diversity & Inclusion projects, and policy development.
* Continuously improve HR processes, ensuring efficiency and a great employee experience.
* Support People Team events, such as engagement surveys and internal training sessions.
* Work closely with finance to streamline payroll processes and improve reporting accuracy.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
