To work within 0-19 service providing specialist training, advice, and support to staff within the 0-19 services. This will ensure that staff are competent to meet the skills required for delivery of the Healthy child programme, mandatory Training and role specific training needs to meet the service delivery model for children and families. To be responsible for organising, delivering and evaluating specialist training to a range of staff across the clinical group and Birmingham Forward Steps (BFS) partnership. To provide advice and support to 0-19 staff in developing and reviewing policies, and standard operating procedures, around the healthy child programme including but not limited to IMDR; 6-8 week review: SEND: role specific Rio training: paediatric resuscitation. There is no direct management responsibility. To be responsible for the clinical supervision of staff. To be responsible for the delivery and evaluation of specialist training' There are no budgetary responsibilities Working within the NMC code of professional conduct: standards for conduct, performance and ethics, exercising professional accountability at all times. Reporting back to the Deputy professional lead any identified concerns. Delegation of work to admin support team member and ensuring delegated work is completed to a satisfactory standard. Managing own time and prioritising own workload. To organise and deliver specialist training, within bookable space and 0-19 settings to a range of staff. This will include theoretical training and practical demonstrations. Develop and review guidance, newsletters and training packages for Health staff. Advise and support 0-19 staff in developing and regularly reviewing policies and procedures. Liaise and communicate with staff to encourage uptake of training and sign off of competencies where appropriate. Utilises competency frameworks to evaluate and provide feedback on skills and knowledge development. Contributes to practice related improvement plans to enable learners to achieve the required standard of proficiency. Regularly review training in conjunction with Group clinical manager and professional lead to ensure effectiveness and appropriateness Assist the Professional lead and deputy in the review of clinical policies or standard operating procedures relevant to thisclinical educator role. `Maintain accurate training data. Undertake audit of policies and procedures in service settings, which support safe care of children. To liaise and work closely with the Specialist Development Practice Leads relevant to the service. To participate in the Trusts clinical effectiveness and audit programmes and to take part in research as appropriate. To keep updated with current trends and advances within the 0-19 services. To undertake individual training appropriate to the grade and as identified at appraisal. The post holder must be proficient with Microsoft office. To undertake other duties commensurate with this grade of post in agreement with the relevant line manager.
