Salary range: £22,366 - £22,737 per annum
Work location: Oxford Register Office, 1 Tidmarsh Lane, Oxford OX 1 NS and some work from other locations in the county
Hours per week: 37 hours per week. Flexible working is not available for this role due to the nature of operating a front-facing customer service.
Contract type: Temporary for 18 months
Vetting requirements: This role is subject to the Registration of Births, Deaths, and Marriages Regulations 1968 (as amended). Candidates will be required to complete Disqualification Form for working in the Registration Office.

About the role
This is a trainee role designed for an individual who has little or no previous work experience in a similar job. You will work in a team that supports the Registration Service, learning how to provide efficient and effective administrative support to various teams.
As a Business Admin Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to:
1. Provide excellent customer service, handling enquiries from a wide range of people.
2. Learn how to respond promptly and appropriately to communications.
3. Take raw information/data and present it in an appropriate electronic format.
4. Learn how to process financial tasks within the team.
5. Commit to ongoing self-development and training, including completion of a recognised Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship.
About you
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team.
The successful applicant will have:
6. 4 GCSE’s A*-C (4-9), or equivalent including Maths & English
7. Knowledge of ICT programs for word processing, spreadsheets, internet, and email.
8. Ability to communicate effectively by telephone, in writing and in person.
9. Organised approach to handling a variety of tasks with ability to work to deadlines.
10. Accuracy and attention to detail.
11. Excellent interpersonal skills.
12. Ability to deal with work of a confidential nature.
