As a Nursery and SENCO Teacher, you’ll play a dual role in guiding early learners during their foundational years and ensuring that children with additional needs receive the tailored support they require. Job Description: In this role, your responsibilities will include: Nursery Teaching Duties: Planning and delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate activities for nursery-aged children. Creating a safe and nurturing environment where children feel valued and supported. Encouraging curiosity, creativity, and social interaction through play-based learning. Monitoring and assessing progress to meet early years curriculum standards. SENCO Responsibilities: Identifying and assessing children with special educational needs (SEN). Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and parents. Providing guidance and training to staff to ensure inclusive practices across the nursery. Liaising with external agencies and specialists to secure additional support where needed. Ensuring compliance with safeguarding and SEN policies. Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS). Experience working with early years students and coordinating SEN support. Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and SEN Code of Practice. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
