The Role
The Mooring Operator's tasks include mooring and unmooring vessels, rigging and de-rigging hoses and arms, re-rigging during cargo/ballast operations, and performing general and planned maintenance as directed. The role requires self-motivation and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Principal Responsibilities
1. Moor and unmoor vessels in accordance with safe working practices and Company agreed procedures from the quayside or onboard line vessels.
2. Connect and disconnect loading arms and hoses to ensure product integrity.
3. Operate a hand-held VHF radio for communicating with colleagues or vessels.
4. Assist with Crewing Pilot launches and workboats as required.
5. Undertake training as required to comply with Company regulations and legislative requirements.
The Candidate
The Mooring Operator will be required to work on a shift, following the site shift pattern. This will be after the training where you work as directed by the training team and the operations manager.
