Health & Social Care Teacher - Alternative Provision

This Birmingham-based Alternative Provision is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health & Social Care Teacher to join their team. With small class sizes, a strong pastoral team, and a focus on tailored learning, this is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in students' lives. As a Health & Social Care Teacher you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that are interactive for students.
Job Role:
1. Teaching Health & Social Care to Key Stage 4 students, supporting them in achieving their BTEC or GCSE qualifications.
2. Delivering engaging and practical lessons that relate to real-world experiences.
3. Providing additional pastoral support, helping students overcome challenges and engage in learning.
4. Working with small groups (4-8 students per class) to provide individualised attention and support.
5. Collaborating with experienced staff and a strong leadership team to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant FE teaching qualification.
2. Experience teaching Health & Social Care at KS4.
3. A resilient, patient, and empathetic approach to teaching.
4. Strong classroom management skills and experience working with students with SEMH needs or additional barriers to learning.
5. A commitment to raising aspirations and improving student outcomes.
