Hours of Work 08:30 – 16:30 (37.5 hours per week)
Remuneration £24,000 + Bonus & Pension
Location 5 Regents Drive, Prudhoe, Northumberland, NE42 6PX
The OpenWorks team is looking for a highly motivated purchasing & logistics administrator to join our growing team, ideally, someone who has previous experience in managing the shipment of goods & working in a purchasing department and is keen to learn, develop and take ownership of the role. Job Purpose
Logistics
* Plan and execute the permanent & temporary import and export of OpenWorks’ products to destinations around the world.
* Track and monitor the status of all shipments.
* Liaise with customers to arrange delivery and ensure their responsibilities under DAP Incoterms are met.
* Liaise with suppliers and agents to track and monitor the status of all shipments, negotiate rates and resolve issues.
* Supporting the Purchasing & Logistics Manager in maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations, including import and export control laws, customs clearance procedures, and the management of duties and taxes.
* Prepare, review & issue import and export documentation such as licenses, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.
* Assisting the Purchasing & Logistics Manager to ensure all audits are successful.
Purchasing
* Assist in procurement of bought-in items to specification.
* Placing orders for any sub-contract activities
* Maintaining the ERP/MRP system with accurate purchase order information
* Assisting the Purchasing & Logistics Manager with any other consumable or project-related purchasing, and the progression of placed purchase orders.
* Assisting the Purchasing & Logistics Manager with the booking of transport for the safe and on-time shipment of project-related orders

Education and Qualifications
o A valid driving license is preferred.
