A fantastic new opportunity has arisen to be part of our team. We are looking for a Fitness Manager. In this role, you will lead a team ensuring exceptional service is delivered at all times. We seek someone to increase activity levels at the site, maximize sales and income generation, and provide support, working in the gym, offering fitness advice and knowledge to help people go further in their training.
You will also manage our Exercise Referral Programme, playing a vital role in supporting, developing, and managing health referral-based exercise programs aimed at enhancing the health outcomes of our community. To effectively monitor and evaluate the scheme, you will collaborate with local partners, oversee program delivery, and foster relationships to drive positive impact.

Hours: 37 hours a week - Monday to Sunday - Rota Basis
Requirements:
* A relevant Level 3 Fitness Qualification
* Proven experience in working alongside patients with a range of health conditions
* Experience in creating, planning, and delivering exercise programmes, both one-to-one and in groups
* An awareness/understanding of local health inequalities
* Able to present and work with a mixture of partners, in the health system and sporting networks
* Experience in problem-solving, organizational customer service, and staff management
* At least three years of experience in a fitness facility
* A high awareness of industry developments, new activities, trends, and research
* Good commercial awareness that translates into a successful and financially viable operation
* A passion for the industry demonstrated through continuous professional development
* Well-developed interpersonal skills, able to negotiate and persuade people both internally and externally
* Excellent time management skills – able to handle multiple priorities
* A self-starter who inspires others with their passion and energy
* Excellent communication skills, able to think on your feet
* Able to work flexibly with a good level of autonomy
* Team-oriented approach, able to work across organizational boundaries and demonstrate support for the work of staff and colleagues
* Level 4 Qualification in Cancer Rehab, Pulmonary Rehab, or any other relevant qualifications
* Safeguarding & Child Protection
* First Aid
* At least 12 months of experience as a Level 3 Exercise Referral Instructor
