Warehouse Lead Hand Operative
Baker Recruitment Group are pleased to be working alongside our World Leading Logistics client based in WF12. Due to continued business growth and expansion, we are looking to recruit a Warehouse Lead Hand to join this busy Logistics operation.
Shifts: Weekly Rotating Split Shifts AM / PM
AM Shift Monday - Thursday 6.00am - 2.45pm, Friday 6.00am-2.30pm
PM Shift Monday - Thursday 1.15pm - 10.00pm, Friday 1.15pm-9.45pm
Total 43.50 hours per week.
Pay rate: starting £12.86 per hour + £ 15.73 per hour after any hours worked after 7.00pm
Operations Management:
• Working along side the Shift Leader helping the warehouse operation being an active hands-on member of the team.
• Responsible for meeting KPIs set by Team Management
• To lead by example.
• To ensure all administrative tasks for the warehouse operation are completed where appropriate.
Warehouse:
• To ensure orders are picked accurately.
• To ensure goods-in are receipted in accordance with policy.
• Ensure all loads are checked and completed in full prior to dispatch.
• Ensure all loads are secure prior to dispatch.
• To ensure stock rotation is maintained at all times.
• To manually load and unload trailers.
• To confirm all inbound and outbound loads are accurate. To report any discrepancies to the Warehouse Shift Manager.
• To assist with stock cycle count.
• To ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
• To work efficiently to agreed timescales.
People Management:
• To provide advice and guidance on issues to members of the warehouse team.
• To assist the Shift Manager helping to train shift employees to meet the required procedures and performance standards and ensure the training is correctly documented.
• To support the team’s performance targets and standards in a fair and consistent manner and report any performance issues to the Shift Manager.
• To ensure that set break times are adhered to by shift staff.
• To motivate your team to achieve the highest levels of productivity.
Essential
• Experience in warehouse and distribution environment.
