Job Description:
Brakes are currently recruiting for a Product Lifecycle Manager to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis, reporting to the Category Manager.
As the Product Lifecycle Manager, it is your responsibility to take ownership for the category's potential waste. You will work collaboratively with relevant key stakeholders to take appropriate actions to mitigate the risk of waste and ensure budgets are achieved.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
* Identifying, alleviating, measuring, and monitoring risks within the relevant category to ensure budgets are achieved.
* Taking a lead role in waste mitigation by working collaboratively across multiple departments and managing the communication process effectively.
* Working closely with the Finance Team to ensure full traceability of stock movements in relation to waste and responsible for investigation of queries.
* Identifying process improvements to reduce waste and risk, and monitoring progress of activities.
* Analysis of historic waste, identifying trends, understanding margin erosion, and identifying improvements from these key learnings.
* Creatively building ad-hoc promotional activity to support clearance of stock.
* Responsible for ensuring all tools are accurate and escalating issues to relevant parties.
* Working closely with Chilled and Pricing teams to ensure Staff Sales are executed accurately and on time.
* Actively and passionately maintain an understanding of the Sustainability Council’s global commitments, sustainability developments, and its impacts on Supply Chain.
* Constantly seeking new avenues and breaking down barriers in order to support waste mitigation as well as supporting charities across the UK.
Performance Indicators:
* Monthly waste budget vs. actual
* Margin erosion improvements for the category
* Year on year waste improvements.
* Charity donation value.
* Reduction in ACM waste.
* Relationships with key stakeholders
About You:
Ideally, you will have a background in Supply Chain, preferably within an FMCG environment, with high levels of resilience and a proven ability to thrive in a very busy, demanding, and pressurised environment. You will be an excellent communicator with a good understanding of SAP, BI, Tableau, Microsoft workbooks, and possess the ability to interpret analytical data. Strong business acumen is essential, along with budgetary analysis and financial control experience, and the ability to prioritise workload.
