We have an exciting opportunity for a registered Occupational Therapist to join our Children's Therapy Service based in the Chorley and South Ribble team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Occupational Therapist looking for their next challenge.

The successful candidate must be able to effectively manage their own time and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is an exciting place to be an Occupational Therapist and it is a highly valued role in our Trust's approach to multi-disciplinary care. We have sound professional structures to lead and inspire our Occupational Therapy workforce. In children's therapies, we are committed to delivering excellent services, putting occupation and participation at the centre of our work and championing children and young people aged 0-19 occupational needs to be recognised and addressed. We are looking for a creative individual who has the ability to think outside of the box and can bring a passion for evidence-based, holistic and patient-centred care to our thriving department.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for individuals who are keen to invest in their own development. In return, we will support you through professional and clinical supervision, shadowing and co-working opportunities, in-service training, professional forums, trust-wide AHP research group, and funding opportunities for relevant external training courses.
This role offers in-house training opportunities to consolidate learning and knowledge whilst being supported to develop and manage an increasingly complex caseload independently. You will become a specialist in assessing occupational performance and delivering specialist interventions. You will have a dedicated mentor and access to regular clinical supervision, appraisals, management supervision, and professional support. You will also have access to our highly experienced clinical leads and Trust AHP leads. You will work alongside speech and language therapists and physiotherapists in the team as well as working closely with other colleagues in health, education, and social care to provide holistic and child-centred care. The role covers a variety of locations, including clinics, children's own homes, nurseries, and schools.
