About the Graduate Russell Group Teaching Assistant role - Russell Group Graduate Teaching Assistant Full-time, long-term position starting immediately (to run for the remainder of the academic year) Earn up to £500 per week as a Russell Group Graduate Teaching Assistant Graduates with a degree in a core, academic subject are welcome to apply School is located in Wakefield Work with KS3 and KS4 students (in particular, those studying for GCSEs) Great opportunity for aspiring teachers or educational practitioners Previous relevant experience is preferred but not essential About You: We're looking for a Graduate Russell Group Teaching Assistant who: Hold a degree (minimum 2:1) from a Russell Group University. Are passionate about education and working with young people. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. May have prior experience in tutoring or working in schools (desirable but not essential). Are considering teacher training, such as a PGCE or School Direct program, in 2025 or beyond. As a Graduate Russell Group Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside teachers and other education support staff to work closely with students in the classroom, as well as 1:1 and in small group settings. You’ll have the opportunity to inspire more-able students to achieve their potential, by instilling an interest for learning in them. The role will include a mixture of practical and theoretical tasks, dependant on your subject specialism, to provide a well-rounded experience for both the students’ education, and to develop your own skillset.
