About the Role The Primary Cover Supervisor will: Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure the smooth continuation of learning in the absence of the class teacher. Manage classroom behavior in line with the school's policies and ethos. Provide feedback to teachers on lesson content and pupil engagement. Support pupils in their learning, ensuring that every child feels valued and supported. Work closely with the school’s staff to maintain high standards of education and a positive learning environment. Requirements The successful candidate will: Have experience working with primary-aged children, preferably in a classroom setting. Possess a good understanding of the primary curriculum. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Exhibit strong classroom management abilities and a calm, authoritative presence. Show adaptability and resilience to work across a range of year groups and scenarios. Hold a minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience). Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with an understanding of relevant safeguarding protocols. Desirable Skills and Attributes Previous experience in a cover supervisor role. A relevant teaching or education-related qualification. Proficiency in supporting children with diverse learning needs.
