The Finance team works collaboratively with all its stakeholders, actively looking for opportunities to improve its delivery of financial reporting, know-how, analysis, and insight to support the organisation’s delivery of financial sustainability, performance targets, and outstanding services.
About the job:
We have a part-time Finance Assistant – Suppliers and Purchasing opportunity within our Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Officer, you will deliver an efficient, effective purchase ledger and payments service to the business, as well as support the finance team in processing, monitoring, and reconciling credit cards, prepaid cards, petty cash, and other ad-hoc payment transactions.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure invoices have appropriate authorisation and are processed efficiently and accurately.
* Prepare regular payment runs ensuring suppliers are paid in accordance with agreed payment terms.
* Monitor and reconcile credit card transactions.
* Process new suppliers and monitor checks in line with procedures.
* Provide administrative support for the wider team.

You will have experience in a similar or equivalent role with practical application of accounting regulations. You will be proficient in the use of specialist financial systems and Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
