Technical Facilities Manager

We have a brand-new exciting opportunity for an All-encompassing Technical Manager looking to join a progressive and forward-thinking customer based in the Severn Beach, Bristol region of the UK. This is a challenging, hardworking, and rewarding opportunity, ideally looking for a forward-thinking, dedicated, and ambitious individual.
If you have ever wondered what it would be like to have autonomy over your own Manufacturing Facility, holding responsibility for all of the services within it, and delivering a top-shelf service to your current client, looking at what currently works and what doesn’t, making sure all service level agreements are tested and robust and negotiated, and ensuring the Facility Delivery is of a high standard.
You will be an integral part of the team and someone who will be instrumental in the success of this hybrid model.

As a Technical Facilities Manager with Bellrock, you’ll do it by:
* Managing day-to-day operations, including repair and maintenance, security, cleaning, the change control process, procurement, accounting, and budgeting-related issues.
* Managing and executing day-to-day operations and maintenance.
* Preparing maintenance contracts and scope of service.
* Supervising and consulting with external vendors regarding regular communications and ad-hoc work and responding to issues that arise.
* Managing specifications, problems, issues, performance, and administration.
* Preparing management reports, PowerPoint presentations, SOP/EOP, critical activities planning such as power down and pull-the-plug tests, emergency/disaster recovery plans, and business continuity plans.
* As an incident manager, managing all incidents and preparing incident reports.
* Engaging with internal stakeholders to gain feedback on customers’ inquiries.
* Intervening, analyzing, managing, and resolving business conflicts between the company and the vendors/suppliers.
* Implementing procedures of safety systems and performance measurement like scorecards to ensure quality and reliability of services meet client’s requirements.
* Providing superior customer service to clients through all facility functions.
* Routinely inspecting all areas to ensure performance measures are being maintained and proactively self-reporting facility problems.
* Tracking and updating the financial budget.
* Consulting with the Production Manager and producing operation reports every week.
* Liaising with the Production Manager and being responsible for the recruitment of new property management staff when required.
* Being responsible for facility management operations.
* Having a proven record of handling uptime certification is necessary.
* Establishing engineering and operation procedures and rolling them out for site staff.
* Observing and controlling laws and regulations, organizing and managing the onsite electrical organization as an electrical specialist with overall responsibility (qualification minimum Bachelor Professional/Master Professional Electrical).
* Ensuring compliance with all local statutory regulations.
* Providing emergency call support and site attendance for troubleshooting.
* Implementing the energy/cost initiative program.
* Managing all vendors to conduct maintenance for all installations during the weekend and reviewing maintenance reports.
* Developing technical service standards.
* Assisting the Production Manager in preparing critical environment procedures.
* Providing solutions for technical issues.
* Initiating a system to measure the quality of performance.
* Initiating a preventive management program.
* Participating in a disaster recovery plan per the client’s requirements.
* Managing and monitoring the Infrastructure Management System (DCIM) and all sub-systems including but not limited to BMS, PMS, and SMS. Updating technical drawings regularly, inventory lists, and asset lists.
* Managing customers onsite catering provision.
* Performing burn-in tests and current leakage tests for the site.
* Planning drills for engineers, getting approval from TFM, and recording the drill on the shared drive.
* Coordinating with the local utility company and conducting routine checks and maintenance.
* Checking and approving all the RAMS submitted by all vendors.
* Managing security staff, routine meetings with the security company, and being responsible for security staff performance.
What does it take?
If you’re ready to be the energy that helps us build our business, share our success, and really own it as a Technical Facilities Manager, you’ll need:
* A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
* Minimum 5 years practical experience in facilities operation in Data Centre and Telecommunications industry.
* A locally certified license and ability to coordinate with utility companies and deal with high voltage.
* Familiarity with critical facilities including Chiller, CRAC, UPS, STS, Genset, Nitrogen, Pre-action Sprinkler System, etc.
* Strong leadership, people, and communication skills.
* Strong PC literacy and proven ability to manage daily activities using various systems including MS Excel and PowerPoint.
* Good command of both written and spoken English.
* Holder of HND/HNC or above degree in Electrical or Mechanical.
* Availability as part of the on-call team to provide 7 x 24 emergency service (non-office hours standby).
Working arrangements
