Employees of UKIFS can be based at either of our sites; or Culham, Oxfordshire or West Burton, Nottinghamshire
This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.
The salary for this role is £48,376 and onsite working is expected for 3 days per week
The Role

Join our team and contribute to the future of fusion energy as Development Consent Order Interface Manager in the field of fusion energy. In this role you will play a pivotal role in working as part of the Development Consent Order Management Team to ensure that there is effective and efficient communication between the design team and the Development Consent Order Management Team. You will also ensure that there is effective and efficient communication between Master Planning, Project Planning, Business Development and other project teams and the Development Consent Order Management Team.
* You will work closely with the STEP Communications Team to contribute to community engagement events, ensuring that all information requirements for these events are met.
* You will establish and maintain an Interdependency and Interfaces log to identify and manage all interfaces and to ensure that all relevant actions are identified, prioritised, assigned and completed within predetermined timescales.
* You will work with the Development Consent Order Lead to monitor progress against the Development Consent Order Activity Plan and to update the plan regularly.
* You will identify significant deviations from the plan and work with the Development Consent Order Lead to identify and implement recovery actions.
* You will prepare regular reports to management and other interested parties to accurately report on the status and key issues affecting Development Consent Order preparations.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
* A university graduate or equivalent in a STEM or similar subject.
* Ability to take responsibility for action plans and working in a proactive manner, with minimal supervision to identify and meet project needs.
* Ability to work with different functional and operative teams and to achieve cross-functional solutions to project needs.
* Knowledge and/ or experience of planning processes under TCPA, and/or Development Consent Order regulations.
* Basic project management skills, such as planning, monitoring progress, risk management, contract management.
