To work as part of the team on Bluefin Children's Ward to provide a comprehensive clerical and reception service.
To provide effective day to day clerical support to facilitate the smooth running of the ward under the direction and supervision of senior colleagues. This job role covers clerical duties, meeting and greeting staff, patients and visitors, the movement of case notes around the trust and the provision, preparation of and maintenance of patient case notes. To also support the administration service in recording patient information, making appointments, dealing with enquiries and liaising with clinicians. Will be required to work within the multi-disciplinary teams in the ward area.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will have excellent computer skills, office software, and other systems used. They will need to be able to demonstrate an attention to detail and the ability to work in a busy ward environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work on their own initiative are essential.
Job responsibilities
* To provide effective day to day clerical support to facilitate the smooth running of Bluefin Ward.
* To meet and greet staff, patients and visitors to the ward.
* To use own initiative to maintain stationary stocks, answer queries, and relay relevant information to other staff members.
* To facilitate the movement of case notes around the Trust and the provision, preparation and maintenance of patient case notes ensuring that they are compiled according to Trust guidelines.
* Order supplies and equipment using the Trust procurement system under the guidance of the Ward Manager.
* To support the administration service in recording patient information, making appointments, dealing with enquiries and liaising with clinicians.
