Multi-Skilled Operative (Handyman)
Location: Aldermaston & Burghfield, Berkshire
Salary: £35,000 pa + Onsite allowances
Working hours: 0745-1630 Monday to Friday (1615 on Friday) Inclusive of 9-day fortnight

As a Multi-Skilled Operative with EMCOR UK you will play a pivotal role is supporting and delivering ta service with our large scale account for AWE. You will have a good all round knowledge of Buildings and Civils, you will need to be experienced in Carpentry, Groundworks, Painting & Decorating and general building maintenance. What you'll do:
1. Support the team in connection with all Buildings and Civils works.
2. Respond rapidly to short-term issues arising from existing contracts and tasks.
3. Ensure that the day to day operations are conducted to the highest standards in order to satisfy and maintain company defined standards.
4. Ensure compliance to all site and company safety standards, taking into account all legislative and regulatory requirements
5. Be fit and willing to carry out specific training for working within controlled areas including radiological and beryllium area.
6. Any other reasonable duties as requested by Line Management.
Person Specification
Who you'll be:
7. Good all round knowledge of Building and Civils is advantageous.
8. Experience in Carpentry, Painting & Decorating, Groundworks and general building maintenance is desirable.
9. PASMA (or willing to train)
10. IPAF (or willing to train)
11. Excellent level of interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with customers and staff at all levels in both written and spoken English.
12. Willingness to train, update and improve themselves for the benefit of the contract.
13. The ability to establish, implement and monitor high standards of excellence in areas of quality, safety and operational performance.
14. Must be self-motivated, a team player and resilient under pressure.
15. Flexible approach to all duties and be able to work on own initiative.
16. Must meet all minimum criteria to apply for and pass security clearance procedures
