We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Business Studies and Computing to join our vibrant department.
Role:
As a Teacher of Business Studies and Computing, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging and innovative lessons across a range of year groups. You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and teaching high-quality lessons in both subjects, ensuring that all students are challenged, inspired, and supported in their learning.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the curriculum and work with a passionate and collaborative team of educators to help students achieve their potential in Business Studies and Computing. The successful candidate will be expected to teach across key stages 3, 4, and potentially 5, depending on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Business Studies and Computing.
· Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to help them improve.
· Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.
· Contribute to the development and review of the curriculum.
· Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
· Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as required.
· Participate in extra-curricular activities, where appropriate
Person Specification:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated teacher who:
· Holds a relevant degree in Business Studies, Computing, or a related field.
· Has a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
· Has a strong knowledge of both Business Studies and Computing, with experience teaching to GCSE level (A-level experience would be an advantage).
· Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to student welfare.
· Is proactive, adaptable, and a team player.
· Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Is committed to continuous professional development and enhancing their own teaching practice.
