Accounts Assistant Level 2 or Level 3 Apprenticeship - Three Spires Trust
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join the Three Spires Trust team. As an Accounts Assistant Apprentice, we are looking for someone to study AAT - either level 2 or level 3. The purpose of the role is to support the Trust Accountant in the Trust Head Office in Stafford.
Key Details
Salary: £6.40p/h for the Level 2 AAT or £18000 for the Level 3 AAT
Working hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9AM - 4PM, Wednesday 9AM - 1PM (30 hours per week)
Location: Stafford Education & Enterprise Park, Weston Road Stafford, Staffordshire, ST18 0BF
Apprenticeship Details: 17 months expected duration to complete, working towards your Level 2 Accounts Assistant Qualification; 20 months expected duration to complete, working towards your Level 3 Accounts Assistant Qualification. (All learning is delivered online/ remote).
Training Provider: LMP Education (rated 1st best UK training provider)
During your time as an Accounts Assistant Apprentice, your role will be varied and will include inputting purchase invoices onto the Trust accounting software for the designated academies within the Trust as part of the Central Finance offer. Your day-to-day duties will include:
1. Inputting data onto the Trust finance software
2. Follow standard monthly accounting processes
3. Assist with and input purchase invoices onto the Trust finance software for designated academies as part of the Trust Central Finance function.
4. Liase with internal and external stakeholders including assisting with credit control
5. Assist the Trust Accountant with month-end and year-end processes.
6. Assist the Trust Accountant with internal and external audits.
7. Assist the Trust Accountant with asset management throughout the Trust
8. Assist and work with central team members as required. (There may be a requirement to visit academy sites on occasion)
9. Support and uphold Trust policies
10. Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons to whom you come into contact with
11. Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection. Reporting any concerns to the appropriate person.
12. Be aware of, support and ensure equal opportunities for all.
13. Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the Trust
14. Appreciate and support the role of other professionals
15. Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required
16. Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required
Essential skills:
1. Studied an A Level or equivalent standard
2. At least 5 GCSE passes grades 5-9 (A*-B) including Maths and English.
3. Experience of ICT programmes to a good level of competence including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
