As a UX Designer, you will play a pivotal role in designing intuitive and engaging digital content that meet both user needs and business goals. Your focus will be on understanding users through research and translating insights into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other designers, to ensure seamless implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviours, and pain points to improve the user experience.
* Develop user personas, empathy maps, and journey maps to inform design decisions.
* Create wireframes, user flows, and prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts and interactions.
* Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that are consistent with the brand's identity.
* Conduct usability testing to evaluate the effectiveness of designs and identify areas for improvement by analysing user feedback to make necessary adjustments.
* Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to align user needs with business objectives.
* Collaborate with development teams to ensure designs are accurately implemented and maintain design consistency across platforms.
* Review and provide feedback during the development process to ensure adherence to design principles.
* Conduct competitive analysis of competitors / other websites that operate in the same space
* Coordinating with the development team on issues like navigation, page routing, product page design and more
How you’ll do it:
* You will prioritise user needs and experiences throughout the design process, using research and testing to inform decisions.
* You will apply design thinking methodologies to identify problems, generate ideas, and create innovative solutions.
* You will be able to effectively communicate design concepts and rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* You will pay close attention to detail in all aspects of design, ensuring consistency and quality.
* You will stay up-to-date on the latest design trends, technologies, and best practices.
* You will work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and create exceptional user experiences.
Requirements:
* Experience: 3+ years of UX design experience, preferably within a digital agency or product team environment.
* Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a range of UX projects, including wireframes, prototypes, and final designs for both web and mobile applications.
* Tools: Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar software.
* User-Centred Design: A deep understanding of user-centred design processes, including user research, information architecture, and interaction design.
* Knowledge of Accessibility: Familiarity with UK accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
