The Opportunity
This company is looking for a Technical Sales Manager to join their expanding team. This role offers a chance to make a significant impact by driving sales across the U.K. market, specifically in the industrial manufacturing sector
Role Specifics
As the Technical Sales Manager, you will play a key role in growing their customer base, developing new business opportunities, and long-term relationships with existing clients. The primary focus will be on selling solution-based equipment and maintenance contracts to new and existing end users, making this warm sales role centred around relationship-building rather than cold outreach. You will work from a home base, spending 2-3 days a week on the road, with occasional overnight stays as required.
You will be responsible for:
Managing client relationships and interpreting their requirements to offer tailored solutions.
Negotiating tender and contract T&C’s
Supporting marketing activities, including attending trade shows and conducting technical presentations.
Analysing sales and costs to ensure targets are met, and profitability is maximised.
About You
Highly self-motivated with strong commercial awareness and engineering knowledge, ready to make a real difference.
Ideally, a background in mechanical engineering or fluid dynamics either through (HNC/Degree level) or hands-on experience.
Experience in selling into manufacturing environments. i.e., Cement, Steel, Plastic, Heat Treatment, Data Centres etc
Strong ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and collaborate across decision-making teams.
High energy, self-motivation, and resilience with a passion for creating happy, delighted customers
Able to manage your time effectively while working from home and enjoy being out on the road 2-3 days a week, with occasional overnight stays.
