MULTI-SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER - ELECTRICAL BIAS

We are looking for a motivated multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join a global manufacturing company in the UK. You will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.
Role Description
1. Developing, maintaining, and following safe working practices.
2. Ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are used at all times.
3. Maintaining plant and associated equipment on site.
4. Utilising the CMMS system to record all works (Pirana, ShireSystem).
5. Providing liaison route to shift teams, provide feedback on any significant issues.
6. Monitoring equipment condition, identify areas requiring additional PM work and communicating accordingly.
7. Ensure any remedial activity is robust and complete.
8. Managing spare parts appropriately.
9. Ability to lead Continuous Improvement (CI) projects to conclusion.
10. Support management of maintenance costs.
11. Reporting and monitoring all maintenance actions in a proactive manner to maintain the efficiency of all the plant and equipment associated with the business.
12. Experienced in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies and able to lead RCA investigations.
13. Assisting the Engineering Lead with daily activities and on occasion will stand-in for the Engineering Lead.
14. Adhering to the Company's compliance obligations, policies, processes, and procedures.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Be educated to minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant Engineering discipline with a strong mechanical understanding.
2. Strong ability to fault find and provide rectification to both mechanical and electrical systems including PLC's such as Siemens/Allen Bradley.
3. Demonstrable ability to modify PLC programs confidently and safely.
4. Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies and ability to analyse data to achieve a desired outcome.
5. Experience using a CMMS e.g. Pirana would be advantageous.
6. A true team player who can work collaboratively or on own initiative in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. PC literate and competent in the use of MS Office suite.
