As the UK’s leading pub, cider, and beer business, we’re home to some of the world’s best-loved ciders and beers, and a leading player in the international drinks industry. Right now, we’re looking for a Senior Finance Analyst.
About the role
We have an excellent opportunity for a fully qualified accountant to join our Reporting and Accounting team in our head office in Edinburgh. The role offers a real step-change for us in the UK, helping add value by way of review, challenge, analysis and financial control while acting as a key point of contact for colleagues in our shared service centre in Krakow.
Working within Reporting and Accounting, you will mainly be responsible for the UK statutory accounts process and associated external audit, month-end close activities, control compliance and liaison with multiple stakeholder groups. Review of legal entity management reporting, assessment of financial controls and other associated ad hoc tasks will also be required as part of the regular month-end activities.
You'll be a key point person and coordination point for the accounting processes performed in the Heineken European shared service centre based in Krakow, and you'll also business partner with other internal teams such as Commercial Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Legal, Process Control and Improvement, Internal Audit and Digital and Technology. Extensive collaboration with the external auditors will also be required. This is an exciting period of change across the finance function as it supports Heineken’s ongoing Global Digital Backbone project, and you'll be joining a hard-working team in a fast-paced environment that continually challenges the status quo.
As this role is office based, we currently operate a hybrid working framework that allows us to benefit from both working in the office and at home. We work a minimum of 3 days in the office, a Tuesday and Thursday are for all, with the third day being selected by the colleague.
Who we’re looking for?
A Qualified Accountant with previous experience in both internal and external Financial Reporting, particularly statutory accounts production processes. Experience within FMCG or a large organisation would be preferable.
If you:
* have experience of IFRS or UK GAAP/FRS 101 accounting standards
* have experience of statutory financial statement production
* have strong Excel skills
* are an effective communicator
* enjoy working as part of a team
* can develop strong working relationships and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders
* have excellent analytical skills with an enquiring mindset
* are motivated by continuous process and control improvement and efficiency.
Then this could be the role for you!
The Good Stuff!
In addition to your base salary, you’ll also receive:
* Annual bonus
* Company funded Private Medical Healthcare
* Double-matched pension contributions (up to 10%)
* 35 days holiday (with the opportunity to buy/sell)
* A monthly case of our delicious ciders and beers!
* Exciting opportunities to develop your career.
You’ll also get the opportunity to get involved with one of our colleague networks where groups of colleagues from all over the business work together to ensure we’re always working towards being a diverse and inclusive company.
The application
If you like what you’ve read and want to explore this opportunity further, please apply before the closing date listed at the top of the advert. Please note, that we may close vacancies early when we receive significant numbers of applications, so don’t delay!
If you need any adjustments made to support your application, for example, if you require information in different formats, or if you have any accessibility issues, then we’re more than happy to review our processes.
