We have a great opportunity to join the Advice Rooms team on a permanent basis as financial advice administrator/paraplanner.
Advice Rooms is an independent financial advisory firm based in Barnstaple working on a national basis. We provide independent advice across the whole market in all areas including, Retirement, Investment, Tax & Protection planning as well as Estate planning advice. We are passionate about helping clients understand their needs and providing holistic financial planning.
As our next IFA administrator/paraplanner, you will support us by working alongside the team supporting 2 IFAs. Full exam support will be given for you to continue your financial planning exams.
With this in mind, we only want applications for individuals that want to develop their skills and progress their careers in financial services with the option to progress within the business.
Please note that this role requires attendance in our office 5 days per week as we develop and support you, working 9.00am - 5:30pm Monday to Thursday and a 4:00pm finish on a Friday.
Key Responsibilities as our IFA administrator will include:
* Managing and prioritising a workload ensuring all activities are processed in a timely and compliant manner
* Organising the advisers daily diary
* Submitting new business applications to various providers
* Preparing meeting packs ahead of client meetings
* Ensuring our back-office software is kept up to date
* Issuing letters of authority to providers
* Providing an efficient, professional, and friendly point of contact for clients and enquiries via telephone, email and in person
* Writing basic annual review and suitability letters
* Producing personalised illustrations for a range of financial products
* Liaising with pension and investment companies
The successful candidate must have:
* Ideally 2 years of financial paraplanning or financial administration experience
* Cert CII or RO1 qualification as a minimum / Ideally DipFA or equivalent
* Excellent working knowledge of open market products
* Working knowledge of support programs such as selecta pension/dynamic planner/cash calc
* Passion for customer services and professionalism
* A desire to progress within financial services
