SEND Teacher Pay: £150 -£220 per day Location: Loughborough About the Role: Bookmark is recruiting a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join an independent specialist school in Loughborough. This school provides therapeutic, child-centred education for students aged 7 to 17 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as additional complex needs, including Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide a holistic approach to education and personal development. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH and additional SEND. Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that supports learning and personal growth. Assess and monitor student progress, setting achievable targets and adapting teaching strategies as required. Work closely with support staff, therapists, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student development. Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Provide pastoral support to students, fostering emotional resilience and social skills. Promote and uphold high standards of safeguarding and child protection. Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the wider school community. What We Are Looking For: Qualifications: A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent). Additional SEND qualifications are desirable. Experience: Proven experience working with children and young people with SEMH and SEND needs in a school setting.
