I am recruiting for Residential Support Workers for Doncaster Council, who are a national provider of accommodation for young people between the ages of 10 to 18 who are placed within the care system. This is for homes across the City.
This is a permanent full-time role with a salary ranging from £24,044 to £26,740, including sleep-in duties.

The purpose of the role is to provide safe, supportive, and positive care to all children and young people.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Acting as a corporate parent.
2. Active involvement in all aspects of the care of children and young people, seeking to meet their emotional, social, and physical needs.
3. Being involved in monitoring and reviewing the progress of children and young people.
4. Actively contributing towards overall care through care planning and link working, formulating, participating, and involving children and young people in their individual care plans.
5. Participating in reviews and case conferences when needed.
6. Maintaining accurate record keeping.
7. Assisting children and young people through periods of illness, emotional or behavioral difficulties, seeking medical or other assistance and support as appropriate.
8. Helping to achieve the smooth running of all aspects of the home and participating in domestic/household activities such as cooking and cleaning while promoting semi-independence.
9. Developing and maintaining good relationships with the neighborhood and community, parents, teachers, social workers, other agencies, and professional colleagues as appropriate to the needs of individual service users.
10. Adhering to health and safety procedures.
11. Maintaining strict confidentiality in respect of residents, families, and colleagues.
Minimum Requirements
1. Previous experience in paid or voluntary work with children and young people.
2. Able to work flexibly and beyond normal hours if required, especially at times of crisis.
3. A valid driver's license to take young people to school, appointments, shopping, etc. The homes have their own vehicles.
Full and comprehensive training is provided, including the L3 QCF qualification (equivalent to A-level) and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Training.
