The Role
TigerEye is the industry leading reinsurance pricing and portfolio management tool enabling insurers, reinsurers, and fund managers to leverage any cat-model output, price any type of reinsurance programme, and build, optimise, and net-down a portfolio of nat-cat exposed risks.
We are looking for an experienced insurance professional to join the TigerEye Business Development team. Our team’s mission is to showcase the TigerEye platform to potential clients with the aim of ultimately closing deals. The sales process is very collaborative and relies on a number of colleagues from Howden Res Broking, Capital Markets and Advisory teams working hand-in-hand with TigerEye sales to introduce new and existing clients to the platform. Often, sales demos are the results of introductions from broking teams and you can expect to regularly meet CUOs, Chief Actuaries and Heads of Reinsurance.
The role will also involve close collaboration with the TigerEye software development team in Raleigh, North Carolina and the actuarial/analytics team in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
We are looking for a (re) insurance professional with solid understanding of catastrophe modelling analytics, property treaty reinsurance, strong communication skills, and ideally, some commercial technology vendor experience.
What will you be doing?
* Conduct live demonstrations of TigerEye and act as a technical sales expert for the team
* Close deals to sell TigerEye to insurers, reinsurers, fund managers, and ILS investors
* Assist with the contract renewals of existing TigerEye clients
* Facilitate the creation of TigerEye marketing and sales materials
* Help our prospects understand how TigerEye can add value to their business
What skills are we looking for?
* Understanding of, and experience with either running catastrophe models (e.g. RMS and AIR), or, using their outputs for pricing and/or portfolio management
* Understanding of, and experience working with reinsurance property treaty programmes
* Experience in an externally facing role
* Excellent verbal and written skills
* Strong presentation skills
* Attention to detail and ability to manage several projects at once
